Following her foundational years at Tembisa Provincial Tertiary Hospital, she advanced her surgical expertise by securing her FCS from the Colleges of Medicine South Africa and her MMed from the University of Pretoria. Her rigorous training spanned institutions like the Steve Biko Academic Hospital, Kalafong Academic Hospital, 1 Military Hospital, and more.
Recognised nationally for her academic brilliance, she was awarded the Brebner Medal (2021) for the country's best academic performance. She was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society, signifying her place amongst the top 15% of her cohort. Her academic contributions extend to research, with her Masters in Surgery thesis on “The Impact of Colon Injuries on the Outcome of Gunshot Wounds to the Abdomen” being featured in the revered Langenbeck's Archives of Surgery - a journal with a legacy dating back to 1860.
While Dr Singh excels in all facets of General Surgery, her ardour particularly lies in the realm of Minimally Invasive Surgeries, including Laparoscopic and Endoscopic procedures. Beyond her clinical duties, she ardently shares her knowledge, lecturing at university events and instructing Advanced Trauma Life Support courses.
Away from the hospital corridors, she harnesses her energy through boxing and immerses herself in outreach endeavours. Dr Singh's commitment to service is evident in her foundational roles at Femme d’élite, a non-profit organisation, and the Kalafong Amputation Rehabilitation Network.
